Warehouse XR & Odoo Digital Twin

Overview

Warehouse XR is a production digital twin platform that maps a physical warehouse into a real-time interactive 3D environment, connected live to Odoo's inventory management system via JSON-RPC. Warehouse operators navigate the virtual space, select stock locations, initiate incoming receipts, outgoing deliveries and internal transfers, scan items, validate quantities and confirm operations — all data synchronised bidirectionally with the Odoo backend in real time. Drone-assisted workflows enhance high-shelf operations. The system eliminates manual screen-switching and dramatically reduces stock validation errors.

Challenge

Warehouse teams managing high-SKU inventory through a 2D Odoo interface made frequent validation errors and spent excessive time locating stock. Operations required a faster, spatial approach that would reduce context-switching and improve first-pass accuracy.

Solution

A real-time 3D warehouse replica with interactive shelving, bin visualisation, product hotspots and live Odoo data overlay — operators interact with virtual representations of physical stock, triggering actual ERP workflows through XR gestures and controllers.
