Overview
ChefConnect is a production food delivery platform built from scratch in 7 days, connecting customers, chefs and administrators through a shared NestJS backend and PostgreSQL database. Customers discover local chefs, customise orders and track deliveries. Chefs manage menus, accept orders through a real-time operational workflow, monitor earnings and access a restaurant analytics dashboard with revenue trends, top dishes and peak ordering analysis. Administrators control the entire ecosystem — user management, chef approval, order monitoring, payment oversight, review moderation and platform analytics.

Challenge
The client needed a fully functional, production-ready food delivery platform — covering three distinct user roles, real-time order management, secure payments and restaurant-grade analytics — within an extremely tight 7-day delivery window.
Solution
A modular NestJS backend with role-aware JWT authentication, three role-specific frontend applications (Next.js), a complete PostgreSQL data model covering users, menus, orders, payments and reviews, and RBAC preventing cross-role access — all delivered and deployed in 7 days.
